Harry Zimmerman was a bandleader during the 1950s and 1960s who is best remembered for having been the music director on The Dinah Shore Chevy Show on television. He was also Dinah's bandleader on some of her albums, and he cut at least three albums of his own. Zimmerman's bands were more pop than anything, although they could play jazz, Dixieland or even polkas when pressed.
He was a trumpeter and led the Harry Zimmerman Trumpet and Orchestra, later called the Star Dusters and the Tune Toppers, from the 1940s to the 1990s. The group played at weddings, private parties and the Mount Washington Club.
