Darwin Gross (also known as Darji) is a little-known vibraphonist and music educator whose sound is influenced by Milt Jackson. He recorded several albums during the late 1970s/early '80s, mostly for his own Sounds of Soul label.
The group sounds a bit like the Modern Jazz Quartet with Wes Montgomery, and although few surprises occur, the swinging music is enjoyable. A rarity.
