Harold "Hal" William McIntyre (November 29, 1914 - May 5, 1959) - saxophonist, clarinettist, bandleader. From 1937 to 1941 he played in the orchestra of Glenn Miller. Later he created his own band, performed in hotels, dance halls.
The orchestra remained popular until the 50's, regularly recording and touring.
In 1959 on tour in Los Angeles, the fire in the hotel was badly damaged (probably, the sofa where McIntyre was sleeping from the cigarette caught fire) and two days later he died in the hospital.
